Thank you for the valuable information. I know that .edu sites hold a special place in Google’s heart. My question is this: How does a backlink with a higher PR have any influence? Keep in mind you can purposely control your outbound links, but in Google’s eyes you can’t truly control your incoming links. If this were not the case, a site could be destroyed by spammers. Your site’s competition could take you down by linking sites from a ‘bad neighborhood’ to you. So I am still a little fuzzy, but I appreciate your hard work and quality information.

This information is excellent and very informative. The tricks used in search terms are very upright and straight forward which one could have used but it didn’t strike the ordinary mind like me.

I realised how powerful getting high PR backlinks are. I got my Blog 1st page as soon as I posted a comment in Hubpages and that is the only backling my blog has because hubpagfe has PR 6.

Really like it – keep up the good work.Domain info more important than you think :-)Domain information such as DNS, age of domain and even the expiration date are used to distinguish between illegitimate and legitimate domains.Why are google doing this? Awesome. I knew about getting .edu backlinks. I knew about getting them from blogs, but this search operator that shows niche and filters everything is very powerful.

Another great way to get .edu backlinks is by posting jobs on the college job boards, and also by posting classifieds on edu sites that have them.
